where culture returns to the future

Project Marinetti is the first cultural project to emerge from the online world seeking to cultivate a strictly in-real-life, organic, art and social scene.

culture meets hospitality

WHERE CULTURE RETURNS
TO THE FUTURE

Culture
(n.): From the Latin cultūra, “to tend, guard; to till, cultivate.”

No culture was ever born by an attempt to discuss what makes a good culture. Culture, or what makes a good culture, is rather best understood as what organically emerges when natural chemistry between individuals—the hygiene for the spirit—is discovered, explored, and elevated… in this order.

Culture, in other words, is energy embodied. This energy, the very birthplace of all cultures, requires conscious presence in the physical world.

To this end, Project Marinetti seeks to break away from the increasingly uninspiring digital landscape by cultivating an environment free of discussions (from the Latin discussus, i.e., “to investigate”) and full of conversations (from the Latin conversare, “to turn together”). This “turn” will not be abstract. It will return to its original meaning—the same meaning that served humanity since the beginning of time: that of an embodied, physical act.

Project Marinetti aspires to become the very physical space in which this act will meet hospitality: a Negroni-themed speakeasy bar and creative hub beginning in New York City for aspiring artists in love with their craft—and like-minded audiences—craving for a return to the real world along with all the beauty and harmony it has to offer, seeking to elevate everyday life into the realm of the Gods.

“We have been up all night, my friends and I, beneath mosque lamps whose brass cupolas are bright as our souls, because like them they were illuminated by the internal glow of electric hearts.

“WE ARE GOING TO PRESENT AT THE BIRTH OF THE CENTAUR AND WE SHALL SOON SEE THE FIRST ANGELS FLY”

Author of The Futurist Manifesto

who we are

We aim to contribute to cultural renewal by doing what the digital realm prevents us from achieving: stop treating Culture as a problem that requires a solution, and begin to treat it for what it is: what organically grows when creative people seek to inspire.

Project Marinetti is led by the founder of IM—1776 and former chairman of The Art & Literature Foundation, Mark Granza—a 35-year-old Italian writer, editor, designer, and Negroni enthusiast with a background in luxury hospitality.

our mission

away from the digital,
back to the physical,
towards the spiritual.

No culture was ever born by an attempt to discuss what makes a good culture. Culture, or what makes a good culture, is best understood as a form of energy. It’s what organically emerges when chemistry between individuals—the hygiene for the spirit—is discovered, developed by communities, and elevated by artists… in this order.

For this energy to work, the very birthplace of all cultures, it needs to be embodied. But it requires conscious presence in the physical world to be discovered in the first place. The attempts by online communities around the world to produce Culture have so far yielded only political pursuits because what’s being discovered, developed, and elevated isn’t energy but only ideas.

To this end, Project Marinetti seeks to break away from the increasingly uninspiring digital landscape by cultivating an environment free of discussions (from the Latin discussus, i.e., “to investigate”) and full of conversations (from the Latin conversare, “to turn together”). This turn will not be abstract. It will return to its original meaning—the same meaning that served humanity since the beginning of time: that of an embodied, physical act.

Project Marinetti aspires to become the very physical space in which this act will be met with hospitality: a Negroni-themed speakeasy bar and creative hub beginning in New York City for aspiring artists—and audiences alike—in love with their craft, craving for a return to the real world along with all the beauty and harmony it has to offer, seeking to elevate everyday life into the realm of the Gods.
